Hi Michael,

I have watched the video - and yes it does look great.

I would be willing to take on the challenge of doing a Victorian version of this video - but it would mean I would have to abandon my "usual" coverage format for one or two meets. As long as people didn't mind that, I would be willing to have a go at shooting something like this. All I would need is some co-operation from a couple of the skaters for the "special shots" like what is at the start of the video.

And something around this length could be broadcast as a C31 "filler" as well (around 2 minutes)

Hi All,

Just letting you know - I have been asked by Skate Victoria head office to do promo videos on ALL 5 areas of skating. At the end of the process, we should have good clips of all of the branches. It is good to see the introduction of the projectors at some of the rinks, and I am hoping to trial a projector at Dandenong in the near future as well (subject to Committee approval)

At the Southern Cross, I will most likely be using the "heats" for the "special shots" and doing normal coverage of the finals, so not much will be lost. If anyone has suggestions for shots, let me know at the next Dandenong event!

EDIT: The job has been amended - and now I am only doing the Speed videos. The other branches have people to do stuff for them, but for Speed, it looks like I'm "it"!

Hi All,

I have taken down notes from this video - and turned it into "television speak" on a shot list of 11 key shots that we will need.

Most of which will be able to be taken during a normal event, but some of which will need to be "staged".

If people are not in a hurry to leave the August GP, it would help us get these shots. If possible, please plan on being there a little longer.
