The SkatePace.tv website and YouTube are back in full operation after being "rested" for most of last year.
But development work continued on and off over the "rest" period. I have worked on some new graphics to use on the race videos - and after a suggestion from a viewer - I will be using a new "clock" with all the surplus leading "zeros" in front taken out on all future videos.
Speaking of graphics, do people feel what I'm doing is about right, or do you think I am going over the top with the clock and the title graphics? I find this aspect of the work enjoyable though.........
I am working on a more workable proposal for a TV version of SkatePace.tv - and the new proposal will be put to the Speed Committee at the right time.
If any of your clubs are doing anything interesting that might make a good story for either SkatePace or Inline Plus, please contact me, and I will see if I can get footage of it - No use just having "talking heads" after the event!
Anyway, here is a repost of the "sample race" that by now you are all sick of:- http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=YNnark5Rrac - it shows the quality that has been found by trial and error over the past weeks.
All videos will be in widescreen for 2009 - as most of the master footage to date has been in wide anyway!
